Iceland Trek

16 November

Hello Everyone

I have been very anxious about raising the amount of £2400 which I pledged to SCOPE but I am now feeling much more confident due to the generosity I have received so far. I would like to thank those relatives, villagers, friends, and all who have contributed and given me their good wishes, it has given me a great boost
I am pleased to advise that donations received to date are close to £1000 I am hoping that the amount will be increased after some publicity in the Chew Valley Gazette, and our local St Andrew's Church Magazine for December, they are both printing an article about my project and I am very grateful to them. We hope to complete delivering leaflets to all the villagers of Chew Stoke in the near future. Those who have received them so far have been very generous.

I am taking the project very seriously and am in regular training at the JJB Sports Club, the staff are very supportive and already are arranging all the exercises to get me in "Tip Top" condition for the trek.

Some friends have kindly supplied me with some of the equipment I shall need, so all in all I am making much better progress than I thought I would.

Please keep in touch with this blogg site for my further progress.

Best Wishes

Phyll.
